Statement of Faith

We will strive to faithfully assist in teaching homeschoolers to make a Godly impact in their homes, churches, and communities.

We believe the Bible is the fully inspired and infallible word of God. Without error in the original writings, complete in its entirety, and with no additional scriptural texts needed. In whole or in part, the Bible represents the final authority in faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21).

We believe that man came by direct creation of God and not by evolution.

We believe in the eternally existing Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. There has existed in all eternity three co-equal Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. There are no other Persons in the Holy Trinity. (Deut. 6:4; 2 Cor. 13:14; John 1:1-2,14)

We believe Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten son, fully God and fully man; was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, was resurrected in 3 days, and sits at the right hand of the Father.

We believe that all humans have sinned against God by nature and in action. We believe our salvation was paid for on the cross and that it is by grace alone through Jesus Christ that we are saved. This gift must be responded to by faith, not by works. Only in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone is sanctification made. (Acts 13:38-39; Rom. 3:23, 5:12, 6:23; Eph. 2:1-9)

We believe that God is the giver of life and that all human life is sacred and to be protected.

We believe that God created the human race male and female and that all conduct with the intent to adopt a gender other than one’s birth gender is immoral and therefore sin. (Genesis 1:26-27; Deuteronomy 22:5)

We believe that God has established marriage as an exclusive relationship between one man and one woman and that all intimate sexual activity outside the marriage relationship, whether heterosexual, homosexual, or otherwise, is immoral and therefore sinful. (Genesis 2:24-25; Romans 1:18-31; I Corinthians 6:9-10, 15-20)

Our statement of Faith is a representation of the Foraging Paths leadership beliefs. Co-op members do not have to share our beliefs but they may not teach against or discourage them within our class settings. To be eligible for the board, members must fully agree with this statement.

We believe that every person must make every effort toward compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31) Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor with the principles of this group.
